  • Are all meals included in the retreat price?
Yes, we'll feed you while you're on the retreat! We will normally have a brunch then a big dinner and deserts. But some days it may be different because of our hiking plans. But you won't go hungry! Snacks, tea and fresh fruit will always be available to help yourself to.

We offer a free airport shuttle to the retreat centre from TFS airport at 15.00 on the retreat arrival day, the meeting point is the Ritazza Cafe in the airport arrival hall. We recommend booking a flight that fits with that time. If you can't make our free shuttle, we can help you arrange a taxi but it will have an extra cost (approx 120Eur). You can also take a direct bus to Puerto de la Cruz, there are direct buses at the following times: 9.55 13.10 17.55 21.55 From the Puerto de la Cruz central bus station you can take a taxi to Sol y Luna retreat centre (the taxi drivers in town know where it is). It's near the Redisa store. The taxi should cost between 5-8 EUR.
  • How do I get from the retreat centre to TFS Airport?
We offer a free airport shuttle back to TFS airport at 11.00 on the last day of the retreat. The journey is about 1 hour 15 minutes so you should arrive at the airport at 12.15. We recommend booking a flight that fits with that time. There is also a direct bus to TFS airport that leaves from Puerto de la Cruz on weekdays at: 06.00 10.15 14.45 18.00
  • Can I join if I'm a yoga beginner?
YES! We welcome people of all levels to our retreats, so if it's your first time trying yoga, no problem! Our classes are always tailored to multiple levels and we offer optional yoga foundations workshops to help those starting out with yoga get into great habits.
  • I already have a regular yoga practice, will I find this retreat too easy?
Nope, our goal is to help you build your yoga practice, challenge you with new flows and ideas for your practice. Just because we make our classes beginner-friendly doesn't mean we don't have some challenges up our sleeves for more seasoned practitioners.
  • How long are the hikes?
Our hikes tend to range from 5km to 10km with medium elevation (approx 400m.). We don't go too hardcore on the hiking, we want you to enjoy the nature and take the time to slow down. If you're a keen hiker looking for intense, challenging hikes, you won't find them at this retreat.
  • I don't like hardcore hikes, do I have to join them all?
The hiking intensity will vary from day to day and you are free to choose which hikes you join. We'll tell you the night before the plan for the next day so you can decide whether or not you want to join. We keep the hiking level intermediate so that everyone from the group can join if they like.
  • Can I come to the retreat alone?
YES! The majority of our guests join our retreats by themselves, it's a great way to get to know some new people as well as take some time for yourself.
  • It sounds like a lot of activities, will I have time to relax and be by myself?
Of course. We aren't fans of forced fun and all our activities are optional. We also provide plenty of time for you to chill out by the pool, get lost in a good book, and enjoy taking things slow.
  • I'm not vegan, how will I like the food?
Most people who join our retreats have never tried a fully plant-based diet before. Our aim is to open you up to a world of delicious cuisine made from plants. Skipping meat and dairy doesn't mean the food is boring or bland, it's anything but! You won't go hungry either. We provide tasty, nutritionally balanced, wholesome, and filling meals every day. You might just be surprised by how little you miss eating meat and dairy and by how great you feel ;)
  • What's the weather like in Tenerife in October/March?
The average temperature is 21 degrees in the daytime, dropping to around 16 at night. October is mostly sunny with a little cloud here and there (perfect for hiking!). Sunrise is around 8am and sunset 19.45.
  • What to bring on a yoga retreat?
You'll need comfy clothes for yoga, proper sturdy shoes for hiking with a good grip, and ankle support. You don't need to bring a yoga mat as we provide them but feel free to bring one if you like! Bring swimwear, sunscreen, a hat and a refillable water bottle. A small backpack is also useful for our hiking days. We provide towels.
  • Are there mosquitos?
At certain times of year there can be mosquitos around the grounds of the house...we're living in a banana plantation after all! Bring a mosquito repellent with you just in case.
  • Is Tenerife safe?
Yes, Tenerife is a safe travel destination. There are no dangerous animals on the hiking trails and there is a very low crime rate on the island. Sadly, there have recently been wildfires on the island but they have not affected any urban areas and aren't a danger to holiday makers.
  • If I get Covid before I travel can I get a refund?
We advise you to take out travel insurance to cover any lost costs if you get Covid in the days leading up to travel. We will happily transfer your deposit over to another of our retreats.
